I Am Not A Beauty Blogger: My First Unboxing Video Featuring Ipsy, Birchbox, and Boxycharm
Y’all, this video is terrible. I mean so, so bad. Remember my first vlog ever when I took a GoPro to Ocean City Maryland and slow-motion-filmed me drinking a hurricane in a hammock chair? Yeah. That was an art film compared to this.
But you should watch it anyway. Because sometimes awful is entertaining. Right? Right.
Anyway.
In my quest to diversify the content of both my blog and my life, I set out on a journey to learn how to ‘do’ beauty through the magic of beauty subscription boxes. This is the first in what is definitely going to be an ongoing series of both traditional and not-so-traditional unboxing videos. I say definitely because I’ve already filmed and edited like four more of these. Because when I do a thing, I do a thing. For the ones that want to know more about coolsculpting read more about My Botox LA Med Spa here. Additionally, microneedling in San Francisco is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure designed to rejuvenate the skin.
Let’s jump in to the actual video, shall we?
Along with the above video, I also took notes on the process of signing up for these subscription boxes. Because of course I did. So I’m going to share those notes with you here. Because of course I am. For the best 5 effective alternatives to sunscreen visit site.

This seems ideal for work travel and, I suppose, all travel. I also feel there is more than a $10 value in
I’m very tempted to re-subscribe to Ipsy now after reading this. I did get a lot of good stuff from them!
It was probably my favorite out of the three, and it’s only $10. I see myself keeping it for a while. And then there’s Ipsy PLUS… 😉
I never look good in makeup. I think the one thing that did help me, but I doubt I can do regularly (or ever again) because of the cost, is micro-dermabrasion. Rachel bought me that as a Christmas present. It really tones down the red, and takes care of the fine wrinkles. It has to be done four time a year (500 bucks for the year).
Have you figured out a color a good color palette for yourself? I can honestly say that I haven’t. Plus I wear a lot of black.
I have heard good things about microdermabrasion. But the cost stops me too. Though at some point I know I’m going to need to throw money at how I look, because I’m vain (I know myself!) Great Christmas gift, though!
And no, I’m still struggling with color. And with eye makeup. I’ve watched some tutorials, but I can’t DO the things the girls (for sure girls) in those videos do. And I’m right there with you on the lots of black in my wardrobe!
