I Subscribed to All of the Beauty Subscription Boxes So You Don’t Have To: The 13 Products I Love

I’m going to be totally frank with you: yes, I did replace travel with beauty as my current hobby. Why? Well first–because everyone needs a hobby, right? But also because sometimes it’s nice to be home with one’s family.

And sometimes it’s nice to spend a few months (or years) splurging on $8 eyeshadow palettes (on sale, with coupon codes) rather than on fare sale flights which, while cheap, then require other non-zero-dollar travel expenses.

Yes, my bank account is super happy I (temporarily) made the switch from Lufthansa to lip gloss.

Note: I’ve never flown Lufthansa, but I couldn’t think of any other travel-related company which started with an L and I desire alliteration at all times.

Anyway.

So I’ve been subscribing to ALL of the beauty subscription boxes over the past three months. My goal was to learn how to ‘do’ beauty. And boy, did I learn. I learned that there are more things in Ulta and Sephora, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

But I don’t shop at Ulta or Sephora because those places are expensive.
